Photograph of Percival Lowell's nephew, Roger Lowell Putnam, who served as sole trustee of the observatory following his uncle's passing. Putnam reignited the search for Planet X and worked closely with the observatory's director, V.M. Slipher, to acquire the necessary resources. Putnam was a key figure in the search for Planet X, as the project may have been abandoned after his uncle's death if he had not sought out the crew and resources to make the discovery possible.
