Description

In this interview, a student from Northern Arizona University questions Clyde Tombaugh about his experiences after discovering Pluto in 1930. The interview took place in 1989 at the dedication of Lowell Observatory's Pluto Walk. Tombaugh details the events of the day he made the discovery, as well as his own emotional reaction to finding a new planet. Rae also asks Tombaugh about his opinion regarding the call to redefine Pluto as a comet, to which Tombaugh asserts that it is, in fact, a planet.
