Description
Slipher recounts to Hubble that, as Hubble knows, the Commission on Nebulae and Clusters meeting in Cambridge did not turn out ideally but sub-committees were still created. Hubble is to serve on at least one of the new sub-committees while continuing the bibliographic one and picking his associates for each. Slipher wished to write earlier but had thought they would have a chance to discuss the issues in person prior to the letter.
